Turning 30

This last weekend Rhett and I decided to invite all of our friends and family out for a BBQ to help celebrate me turning 30 on Sunday. It turned out to be a huge party with lots of food and people and fun. I wanted it to be a family friendly party, so I bought a pinata for the kids to enjoy and also had a chocolate fountain and a cupcake decorating station. The kids were entertained, and therefore the parents were happy. I wish I had more pictures, but I was running around like crazy just trying to say hi to people. So here are a few of what I did take:

This is actually the day after the party before my cousins made their way back to Utah. The party wouldn't have been as nearly successful if Becca, Laura, and Rachel weren't there to keep it running so smoothly. Thanks guys!
Karlee made it out to my house a couple of hours before the party and stayed the night. It was fun to have her out and have that extra time with her to catch up.

If you stuff it...they will come. This is only about half of the kids that were there that night. Many of them were too shy to take a swing. But they were waiting on the sidelines...ready to sprint when the candy went flying.
It was so much fun stuffing the pinata. We had a wide variety of candy to choose from and I'm sure nobody went home empty handed...including the adults. You can see from the other picture how massive this pinata is. It took a lot of candy to fill 'er up.

Hey, I posted a comment on here a couple of days ago but I don't know what happened to it? Here's the gist of what I said...
Now that's what I call a PAR-TAY! Looks like so much fun. Happy late Birthday! We totally planned on going because we were going to be in Vegas that weekend, but Jared ended up just going by himself because I had to stay home with sick kiddos. Once we move back we'll definitely have to get together, it's only 2 weeks away!

Happy Birthday Girl!!!!

You are awesome! You are beautiful, funny, thoughtful and just fabulous. I am so lucky that we aren't just cousins, that we are friends! We are Big Bird and Cookie Monster! We are Friday Night Single Adult dancin' fools. We are the toilet paper bandits, the Baskin Robbin twins, and the ice blockin' buddies. We look better than everyone else, even on our bad days (ha ha) and we have fun doing it!!! You rock! I love ya!!!
